  • *groan* We only plant a flower garden but my in-laws have a REAL garden. I expect to go out and prepare the beds anytime, now, and also head out to the in-laws to start tilling. Although some things are planted early, generally we go by the 'Mother's Day' rule in this part of the country.
  • In, done, flowers are starting to set on the tomatoes.
  • We got it ready yesterday We're planting in a week or so.
  • All these garden questions, are driving me batty!!!! I want to garden!!! <<<whining>>> Go away snow, go away!!!
  • Not ready yet...I like to start when I get off my lazy ass.
  • It is planted, and I am now working on re-shaping my bonsai trees. I completed one, and am half way through the second one. When it is done, time to plant a new yucca plant! Yeah!!
  • WE started the post winter clean-up. Picked up a lot of sticks and raked out the flower beds. Cleaned off the front porch, put out a few potted flowers and put the patio furnature on the deck. (without the pads) There is still a chance we will get snow or freezing rain so we probably won't go much farther for a few weeks. We only do flowers because of the EPA Superfund cleanup site that used to be across the street. It is hard to think about growing food right where they drilled the test well looking for contamination of the ground water.
