Do you know any people who used to be homeschooled, if so, how did they turn out? Were they happy? Weird? Well adjusted?

I know lots of home schooled kids. They are all normal kids. Not all kids do well being home schooled and not all parent's are cut out to teach. It's really very individual.

I knew one young man who was being home schooled. I was working with his mother (in a play) and I encountered him a couple of times. He was intelligent, polite and well mannered. He was able to engage me in conversation when his mother was occupied and in many ways it was like being in the presence of a short and young "adult". I later found out, however, he had a very difficult time interacting with people of his own age until he went away to college.

My high school best friend was home-schooled. Friendship didn't work out. But she sure was smart.

My father was homeschooled. He spoke some 5 languages and was probably one of the best educated people I have known.
