You mean Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church? He's dead? I've wondered the same thing. The following excerpt from an Nov, 2006, article called "The Pitch", Kansas City/November 2, 2006, by Justin Kendall gave me the idea Mr. Phelps might now be at "roast" in Hell - his favorite place, apparently. He talks about it enough. From http://www.rickross.com/reference/westboro/westboro45.html "These days, other than a September USA Today profile that called the family's 76-year-old patriarch "sharp and defiant," Fred's public appearances have begun to resemble those of Fidel Castro holding up the day's newspaper to prove he's still alive. His absence on the picket line — even in Topeka — is glaring. "It is very uncharacteristic for him to not be front and center because he gets so much out of that," says Fred's estranged son, Nate Phelps, who left Westboro in 1980. "The fact that he's been absent from the public says a lot to me." Rumors of Phelps' declining health are widespread, but Shirley Phelps-Roper dismisses them as "wishful thinking." "

If you are talking about Fred Phelps, he's not quite dead yet. Although he is getting rather ripe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps
