I think there is a possibility he will. I think that harry Potter is a horcruxe. He's had so many experiences of Voldemorts thoughts and stuff like that, isn't it possible that dumbledore was wrong when he thought that voldemort was controlling his thoughts somewhere else? Think about it. Voldemort would have been very smart to have made Harry a Horcruxe, because if he did, Harry would HAVE to die in order for Voldemort to die. Have you ever stopped to think that harry's scar was not made when Voldemort tried to kill him, but if it got there when he made Harry into a Horcruxe? Maybe he didn't even try to kill Harry. It all makes sense! Maybe thats why Voldemort and Harry have so much in common! Harry could be a horcruxe!

    Nobody knows for sure.

If he is to die it would probably be because he is the 7th Horcrux and has to kill himself to kill Voldy.

Personally I doubt he will die. I think that would be too dark for a children's book.

Some interesting ideas about the Harry Potter series:

well, it has been rumored that he would; however, I personally think, and hope, that he will not. I relise that the 7th book is to be the final but I am open to the possibility of more books. If they kill off Harry Ibelieve that it will ruin any chances for more books......J.K. please dont kill HARRY!

There is speculation that he will, but there is also speculation that he won't. Only time will tell.

Of course there is one person who knows for sure what will happen to Harry, and that is his creator, Ms JK Rowling.
She is still unwilling to divulge the outcome of the book, including Harry's fate and is unlikely to do so.

So, to answer your question, nobody can tell you except the author of Harry Potter.

  • I don't think Harry Potter will die. Here's my reasons why...

    1. In normal circumstances, good reigns over evil. I'm sure that Harry will somehow defeat Voldemort. It was already stated that he does have the power to destroy Voldemort, but he just doesn't know it yet.
    2. The prophecy says either can live while the other survives. This either means that both of them have to die, Harry has to die or Voldemort has to die. Jo worded this prophecy very good, no one knows what the exact meaning is, only Jo. She's trying sort of trick us with the word "either".
    3. If Jo kills off Harry, then millions of kids all over the world, and adults will absolutely be devisated, and Jo will probably have lots of hate mail and threats because she did kill Harry Potter. I don't think she would want this, I wouldn't.
    4. The last word of the book is supposedly "scar". If Harry does die, then why would anyone mention the word "scar"? Unless after they both die, Harry's scar disappears while he's in his coffin, and someone says there's no more scar, or something like that. If the last word is "scar", its most likely that someone's talking to Harry, mentioning something about the scar. It may not be...

The amounts of theories about the last book are numerous, you're unable to count all of them. There are many sites online that have these rumors and theories, and these listed are some of the best ones...

    G'day Nellie,

    Thank you for your question.

Only one person knows for sure and she isn't telling. What she is saying is that it will follow closely from Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince.

She has warned that there will be more deaths and that she will go for main characters with at least three to go on both sides. She has also stated that this will be the last book in the series.

I hope he doesn't die but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. I will predict Lord Voldemort will die and that a major character from the side of good will die which could mean that if it isn't Harry, it will be Ron or Hermione.

I have attached sources for your reference.

He has to since his family history is in regards to gardening ergo "Potter" he will die and have his life spirit re-born in a plant. If he dies, he'll be back. Hopefully he doesn't come back as a type of bush because that'll also be his last name.

I don't think parents will like Harry's new name.

    Here's how I see it.

Event 1: Harry Will Die, Leving Ron And Hermineie Devesatated

Event2: Ron will die. Same affects as the first But with no ron. Harry will be sad.

Event 3: Hermineie Will Die. You Get My Drift

Event 4: Genny Will Die. Harry Will Be sad And mad. Ron, Devestated, Hermine, Bawling.

Event 5: They All Die. Not likely.

I was watching the news and they were giving updates on Harry Potter 7 and they said that either Harry will die or Voldemort will. I think that Harry will die because he has no one left. Sirius is dead Dumbuldore, and Cedric Diggory.

J.K. Rowling will not give away the ending to her seventh and final book but there are many theories as to what will happen.
The prophecy between Harry and Lord Voldemort says that neither can live while the other survives. Either Harry or "You know who" will die in the final battle between the two foes. To get theories on what will happen go to:

I thought before I read the seventh book that since the author killed off Dumbledore in the last one she'd kill off all his friends in the next one so he was a complete loner. lol
But he has more what i'd describe as an out of body experience.

as you read the book, harry didn't die..
harry potter and the deathly hollow says that harry was seventh horcrux lord voldemort accidentally made.. the night when lily curse a protection charm on her son,tom tried to kill harry but the curse bounces back at him and that makes harry the 7th horcrux..at the end of the story, voldemort was really pathetic... book 7 is the most beautiful story in the rest of the harry potter titles..

Harry Potter is a horcrux. Voldemort kills harry, but doesn't realise harry is a horcrux, so he kills 1/7th of his soul. Harry potter then kills voldemort. :D

I think that Harry could be a horocrux, but of course main characters dont die, so Harry won't of course. I really hope that I can find out soon, don't tell me because I'm getting the book for Christmas. But I think its a real possibility that Ron and Hermione die. Its sad but you know...
