  • First of all I am 'handicapped' I walk on a cane. I could get one of those blue plates - if I wanted to. I don't - I prefer to park far from the store doors and limp/walk to the door. My action alone 'shames' those who are abusing that special place. They see a crip on a cane walk by and they reflect on their choices. In a way a person who must park in a handicap parking spot with no physical ailments must have some sort of ailment - mental or emotional - either way they are socially handicapped, or so selfish that they are mentally/emotionally handicapped.
  • Maybe they were just completely oblivious to the sign. A warning that they are in a handicapped spot and they will probably get a ticket would probably scare them into moving.
  • I think you mention it to them, then if they don't do anything or are rude about it, you get the cops involved.
