There is no comparision! I lived in the country for 13 years. I didn't live on a farm, but we had plenty of wild animals that shared our lives. The peacefulness, comes over you instantly,as soon as you step out into fresh morning air. The sound of the wind, whispering through the pines, the birds singing, and just the stillness, that some days bring. The stress of everyday life is replaced by a sense of peacefulness and total relaxation. We moved to town 2 years ago, because of illness and to be closer to the hospital. However, we are presently getting our home ready to sell ,so we can move back to the country! I can hardly wait!!!!

I hate living in the country, because there is no transportation. There is no culture. No theater or arts. No entertainment other than outdoor recreation. One movie theater every couple hundred miles. Few colleges. Poor rates of pay. No unions. The smell of manure wafting in the air. Confederate flags adorning cars and homes. Peace is a state of mind. I find living in the country very unsettling.
