My buddy told me last night they use saltpeter. At least I think he said that. I was tired. He is a production assistant for films. I remember hearing they did the same to us in basic training, spiking the soft drinks and gatorade dispensing machines with it so that the guys would have no sex drive and thereby wouldn't be out molesting the females. I drank a lot of water and milk ;)

I read an article with Demi Moore after her movie with a sex scene with Micheal Douglas. She said some times the actors DO get erections during the scenes, and sometimes they don't. She said either was appropriate. If the actor didn't, then she wasn't offended because he was just acting. If he did, she wasn't offended because it is a normal response for him to get an erection in a sexual situation.

Some of them don't....some of them do end up getting an erection. I can't remember who it was, but one actor said to the actress he was about to do a sex scene with: "before we begin I would like to apologise in advance if I get an erection, and I would also like to apologise if I don't".

I'm sure some have erections, but typically I've read in interviews that sex scenes are anything but sexy or comfortable. There's an entire cast and crew watching you, it's probably cold, and awkward... nothing sexy about that at all.

I am not sure but I think they focus on something that is not arousing, such as a place, an animal, a good thought, a person that is not the object of sexual fantasies, etc.
