  • It isn't where I live (Western Australia), but in the US it has something to do with the factories being cheaper to run than basic farms - which has a lot to do with the centralisation of corporate power. You want cheaper healthy food, get in a government that wants to curb corporate power.
  • I disagree. Organic food is more expensive because it's harder to grow lots of, but that would mean organic food is more healthy than unorganic food which I don't believe. Home cooked food is healthier than ready meals, however, and far cheaper
