Unfortunately the evidence supports something other than the cold hard truth. I have no idea what the reasons were that prompted the US invasion of Iraq...but I strongly suspect that if they were disclosed any time prior to the invasion the nation would have screamed. But then we re-elected the guy in spite of what happened. So I honestly believe that the majority of citizens of this country do not want the truth. They would rather live with their own illusions...and this is recognized by the politicians who continue to feed those illusions.

Truth. But I know that the vast majority of this country far far prefers lies, as lies are what they sucked on from their mother's tits.

I prefer the truth, and it pisses me off to no end when I know the truth and some dumb ass employee lies to me and picks my pocket and the only recourse is to fire them or kill them, in either case you loose unless you go about it real carefully ... ~Nemo~
