You mean falling in love with a co-worker, or just in general? Either way, love makes me kind of loopy and I have a hard time concentrating on anything besides joyous (and occasionally lustful) thoughts about the person I'm in love with. I still manage to do a decent job though, as I also find that falling in love gives me a lot of energy and the ability to stay optimistic and positive even when work sucks.

I actually found that falling in love had a very positive effect on my job performance. I was happier and just generally went through the day with more joy, which manifested itself in a better attitude and a more energetic approach to work. Walking through the day on cloud Nine made me put more life into just about everything, honestly.

I think most of the time, it could have some pretty positive effects on your job performance, mainly because you're not constantly looking for other women/men. However, it could possibly be distracting seeing as your mind'll always be on that person. But I should think falling in love would affect every single aspect of your life, depending on who you are.
