  • no its suppose to stay in the state or area you rented it, the agreement usually states the limits on it, such as rent in Las Vegas so must stay in Las Vegas city limits
  • All you have to do is tell the rental company that you will be taking the car out of state or even out of the country. I've rented cars in Canada and taken them through the states. The rental company just writes down where I'm travelling on the rental agreement and it doesn't cost me any extra.
