You're better off asking the atrist. You should have gotten some lotion for use, from the artsit. They will be better qualified to answer. Unless it's prison ink.

I never added anything to any of my tatts except what the artist put on it, and mine turned out great. Just dont pick the scabs.

Use Tattoo Goo products. I've always used them and my tattoos have healed perfectly. They do aftercare soap which can also be used on piercings, lotion, original goo and sunblock sticks to prevent colour loss when going out in the sun.
