  • I *think* banks can set their own standards on that. Typically they are no more than seven days, I would call the bank and see what they have to say and ask them for a copy of their disclosures.
  • legally... in the usa 3 days... from outside usa or unusual transfers 7 days... believe me , ive had checks from hawaii take 21 or more business days to clear...and it was from my bank to another same company bank ...both my named accounts
  • Read the disclosure agreement they gave you. Sometimes it depends on the amount of the check, or whether it is local or out of state.
  • i'm not sure about USA, but in Canada legally 7 days for domestic cheques and 30 days for foreign
