I pick it up. All my coin change goes into my vacation fund -- and now my "farm fund". It's a slow process, but it does add up.

I will pick up any money from the floor, regardless of the value, it is still money. It is incredible to me how much of it there is out there, I can average anywhere between three cents and seventy five in a day, depending on which district I am in DC, ironically the poorer neighborhoods reap the biggest windfalls (go figure). The best places are the metro, bus stops, grocery stores and parking meters- people literally empty their pockets out at them! I think that people don’t pick up coins out of pride, like people will think you are cheap or poor or something, I earn over a hundred grand a year and it still won’t stop me, I simply don’t care what people think. I have a friend in a household of six and they made nearly three grand in two years (kids eyes are closer to the ground I guess!), that’s one nice vacation for nothing! I started collecting about a year ago and I have roughly ninety bucks; remember this is FREE money; you don’t have to work for it, or think about it, you just have to pick it up!

Every single penny I have seen in the street, I have picked up and kept. "Pennies turn into pounds" is something my mother always said.

pick 'em up and put them in a jar...once the jar is full take it to the bank and put it in my savings account.
