Well...........it's tough to say........many believe economy will be going down the toilet in 3000 since gas prices(wich would mean the U.S.[or any other country for that matter]wouldnt have substantial funding),but if the economy was good enough it would be very possible,as you may know we <i>did<i> find certain bacteria <b>alive<b> on Mars in recent exploration,said bacteria may be useful,I believe we would have to develope fatorys to produce ozone and greenhouse gases to stop meteor bombardment,if this could be accomplished it would be a good idea to transport soil to grow plants to produce Oxygen to breathe.Actually if all went smoothly air could be purer than Earths thus strengthening humans which would overall make it easier to stabalize life.So if gas goes down,yea why not?

Probably no Martians. But humans from Earth will probably have settlements there.
