Is there something unusual regarding the "stamping"(if thats what its called?) of the wisconsin quarter?

Yes, the corn picture has had an "extra leaf" showing in the bottom left hand part of the stalk. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=299868 A diagram on the right-hand side of this article documents the mistake, of which there has been two identified versions of the mistake. While this article speaks of the high price of mistake quarters, the price will have decreased as the buzz has subsided since it's issuance four years ago... also I believe more mistakes are in circulation than was previously believed, driving down the novelty of this item. So caveat emptor if you are considering buying one on eBay or otherwise.
