I don't know. But I'm pretty sure it's hiding out somewhere with common decency and social graces.
-
Reagan conservatives still have it. You sure won't find it predominant in either of the two major U.S. political parties right now. And it's almost extinct at universities.

Our educational system is doing its best to erase it. The scarry part is they seem to be doing a pretty good job of it. It would appear that there is an inablilty to reason things out any more, to rationalize and follow something to a logical but at the same time reasonable conclusion. It seems to be all about "me" "me" "me" oblivious to the possibility of other factors being involved. About as rational as Jerry Springer. We don't seem to be asking "WHY" like we did in the 1960's and 70's.

It's a secret, but I'll tell you. ALIENS took it. They were here for a short time and took all of it, it was the only thing worth taking. LOL

What people have to learn is that Intelligence and Common sense are two different things. Common sense is something based on survival skills. Intelligence is based on something learned. The problem with today's society depends on machines to everything for them instead of them doing it themselves, also education can hinder commonsense because a individaul can spend too much learning instead of learning the basic survival skills.

I find that common sense is something you must be taught or must be learned. I remember years and years ago, I don't think I had any and I had to force myself to think in common sense terms. I used to do computer repair and I was never checking the common sense things like, is the damn thing plugged in, is it turned on, is there something stuck in the drive trying to boot, etc. So, since it is not taught, I think it is being lost and replaced by iPods and the Blackberry ... I mean, would you consider it common sense to know at least five or ten important phone numbers? When I was a kid, I knew about 30 or more phone numbers and now, I probably only know 5 or so. The world is a changin, common sense is just not seen as useful I suppose when you have technology as a viable crutch!!
