I don't think I can boycott the Olympics... I suppose I could refuse to watch it, but I'd rather not. I hope for the sake of our men and women who have trained for years and wait for this (often their once in a lifetime) opportunity to compete on the world's stage will be spared the political rhetoric of issues that do not involve them, and will have the world's attention focused on them and not on politics. The Olympics are about promoting peace and goodwill toward other nations and I hope all will be there for this event and not allow the Olympics to be tainted by this issue, despite the seriousness and importance I feel it has. China will undoubtedly have plenty of propaganda and a formidable team this year, but I plan to look beyond those and enjoy a spirited competition that showcase the best in the world. That being said - on the day after the Olympics, I wish that Tibet will overthrow its Communist oppressors.
