I sometimes listen to Japanese pop that my wife has on the radio. I like Utada Hikaru but mostly can't understand her. Also some other songs are catchy and stick in my brain but I don't actively go out and listen to them. I heard BoA in Japanese but couldn't tell you the name of any of her songs.

I have many internet radio stations on my listen list ... one that I like to listen to is a classic rock station from Stockholm, Sweden ... most of the music is classic rock in English, but they have a quota for some Swedish local bands, and the talking between songs is all in Swedish. I have another similar station in Prague and another in Hong Kong (I understand some Mandarin, but they speak Cantonese).

I listen to all world music. Even if you don't know what they're saying, you eventually catch on and recognize words after awhile. (That's when you get a dictionary and actually start learning) From this, I have learned a good amount of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, Spanish, etc

Yes. I have a CD by a Tibetan artist and some other music by non-English singing bands.
