  • They have weird subjects in order for you to think that "Oh, what's this? Let's open it and find out." It's to basically make you think that it might be something normal and that it is not spam.
  • Not only does it pique your interest, but more importantly it gets around spam filters. You may not open anything purporting to enlarge anything but you may open "shiny clover horses" and the like. Plus your spamfilter will let all three of those words through, even if that has nothing to do with the email. With software becoming smarter and services doing everything that they can to stop the spread of spam the spammers are doing everything they can to keep up and keep clogging the Internet with junk.
