To me it means a mistake. Like, "I made a bobo". The first answer on Google is: "A small wound or injury".

The first thing that popped into my head was the Peter Sellers movie, The Bobo. The word is a Euro-Spanish ( maybe American too) that means a laughable idiot, an unintentional clown. I think, I couldn't find that definition anywhere. When I did find some definitions I found; An distinct ethnic group in Mali. A name for an elephant in a Disney cartoon. A sorta generic nick name for a baby. A street term for crack cocaine. ( Bobo bush is marajuana.) And a term meaning fake. Probably from the book Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class And How They Got There by David Brooks, 2000. Brooks combined bourgeois and bohemian, he means yuppies who act more like hippies. They avoid conspicuous consumption, at least publicly, in the way yuppies used to do to 'show off' or publicly demonstate that they could afford to. Instead spending on "necessities," such as high end kitchen appliances, showers etc. They "feel" for the labor and working class but may refuse to buy American made goods. Brooks claims they relate to money as means rather than end; they do not disdain money but use it to achieve their ends rather than considering wealth as an achievable end in itself. They tend to live in mixed neighbourhoods to be near the poor, but they send their children to private schools."Bobos talk like hippies but walk like yuppies, decrying materialism while indulging in all manner of luxuries." —Victoria Loe Hicks, "Vision of the future," The Dallas Morning News, March 19, 2001 "those who like to be outdoors but in luxurious surroundings." I recently heard the word "bobo" as a southern expression for something run down or shabby. What some people might call "ghetto".

What is Bobo is the name of a UK film poster design company.
