Should there be a moderation choice for a question that can easily be looked up on google, yahoo etc?

Why? Wouldn't that just cut down on the traffic here? Isn't that like a salon directing their customers to the barber around the corner? Business is business.

Nah, that's a little extreme to me. After all this site is just an alternative, so they can ask it here or there. It doesn't matter.

No, as that would be like shooting themselves in the foot here. They want to take visits away from other places so people come here, to AnswerBag, not have Google send them to somewhere else.

My related question (not for moderation, but...) from early in my AB "career" - http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/577722 Meanwhile, it's not that hard to google it yourself, give them a quote and/or the link to the page, and you're done.

Doesn't matter to me but I see where your coming from. Some of these answers can easily be answered on google search.
