good question!! I would say no the body itself should be able to compensate for the loss of blood. Shoot that's a really good question, I'm not certain on the answer to it. I could also see the heart working a little bit harder than usual for a short period until the normal compensatory effect kicks in, which should be almost immediately.

The body has to increase the pressure at first to compensate for the lack of volume. If the pressure stayed the same it would have a harder time reaching your brain, due to less volume.
