Can people opposite in personality, be good friends?

    My best friends tend to be just those. Of course you do need a bit of a thick skin - but that's just healthy anyway.

    they can indeed.
    my friend is pretty hardcore right wing on most issues. she's menonite christian. doesn't listen to much of the same music i do. watches chick flix. soft spoken. freaking beautiful. completely rational in her thinking...she's pretty much everything i'm not.

    of course they can me and my best friend has opposite personalities but we get on each others nerves so we take a break and then make up at a later point.
