I don't know, he wasn't so bad. And, after all, he did save Earth from the cybermen, and, in the process, caused the extinction event of the dinosaurs and ultimately led to the evolution of humans. Then again, he was FAR from being my favourite companion. He was always sort of smart-alecky, and it got annoying how the Master was always using him. It made little sense how this human from E-space was better at doing complex computations in his head than the Master or any of the Master's TARDIS computers. But that's just me.
