  • Yeah. I had kind of, sort of cheap shoes and sat and cried until I met a guy who had no shoes at all.
  • I'm not sure how my humility came about, or if it even has, but it certainly won't get though to me with stupid 'sayings' like that one. That's not humility, that's a sell-out. Having to look at someone else's misfortune to make yourself feel better is not a solution to anything.
  • Well Stillme, this is along those lines at least about the shoes. You do have to listen to the whole song to understand. It's country so if you don't like that style I apologize.
  • Working in a nursing home. There were patients there in their 20's because of a car wreck and they will never leave that bed. Can't even roll over by themselves,scratch an itch, move their head,they will be fed by a tube in their stomach for the rest of their life because of a drunk driver.....the drunk driver walked away. I am grateful for every small thing I have and can do.
  • When I was younger I wanted anything and everything possible...then i worked at a homeless shelter...and it made me realize i was very fortunate.
  • I often run on about how hard it has been losing my sweetheart but there are many here who have lost children especially young ones and it humbles me to know that losing a child especially at a very young age is a much more difficult burden to bear than losing your sweetheart who at least had 20 or 30 years to grow up some and experience some things in life.
