Why do guys act like they like you then deny it and diss you in front of their friends?

Some of us actually do like the girl we spend alot of time with but we get confused which we prefer the most: The girl or the social status. So we lie and say things that keep us on both sides of the fence. Then we have those that give the rest of us a bad name and actually dislike the girl in question, in an emotional way, and are merely trying to get their penis wet, as the saying goes. What you need to do is ask him if he is saying these things and if so ask why. Then you'll have to figure out if he is confused or not!

I was in that situation a while back and I always denied it and made fun of them because I was afraid of letting the girl have the upper hand over me. By admitting I liked them I thought they would use it against me, so instead I insulted them. Do you like this guy? Well if you do then my guess is if you make the move he'll admit he likes you. He's just being a coward.

Because they don't want to look soft or sensitive infront of the "guys". Haha, they all like to think of themselves as badasses when really girls are the tougher sex.

if you go and make a move...like asking him out, it will force him to show you his real feelings and most likely he will "break" and stop denying his feelings because he will be proud to have you as his gf, see having a gf usually gives a guy pride, but having a friend who is a guy will, in his eyes bring him down socially...i can't believe i just admitted that lol
