Engaged 8 months after we started dating and engaged for 1 year before the wedding.

sadly no..... i am working on year 3 and finally were getting somewhere..... we set the date two years from now!!!

We met when I was 17, he met my parents almost immediately, my father talked to him and was quite clear on this. Two years to go around together, one year as girl/boyfriend and one year engagement then they would talk over marriage possibilities. In all it was 4 years and no sex whatsoever, we were always chaperoned. We have been married for 41 years going on 42, we are very happy and have a wonderful, caring, understanding and pristine relationship. Never a fight or offensive words what so ever, always together as if we just met. Regards.

yes! we knew each other 7 months before and started officially dating eactly one month before he proposed :)
