  • If it was stolen to begin with, then "yes". If, however, it was discovered/uncovered stored away in an old home behind the wallboards and belonged to the person who put it there, then no..it was found! :)

  • Not necessarily. Lots of rediscovered Nazi stolen art that is found by people exploring Austrian caves by mountain climbers really can't be stolen if they found it on a whim.
  • A few may be. But most of them come from places where these Art works are kept with out knowing the value.
