  • In the United States, it the the Medal of Honor. Awarded by President, "in the name of Congress." The next award is the little known, Chaplain's Medal for Heroism. Awarded once to 4 Army chaplains. All four were posthumous. There have been 3465 MOHs awarded to 3446 personnel. 14 received it for 2 seperate actions.
