The Medal of Honour has been easier to get than the VC. Not to disrespect the recipients of it however, but it may be equivalent to the MC (Military Cross) the way it has been handed out. The problem with US decorations is they seem to give a medal for everything, and it devalues real valour..

In the United States, it the the Medal of Honor. Awarded by President, "in the name of Congress." The next award is the little known, Chaplain's Medal for Heroism. Awarded once to 4 Army chaplains. All four were posthumous. There have been 3465 MOHs awarded to 3446 personnel. 14 received it for 2 seperate actions.
