  • This page (http://www.iphonehacks.com/) has some information on unlocking an iPhone so that it will work with any carrier. Scroll down to the article titled, "Breaking News: iPhone Dev Team JailBreak & Unlock iPhone Firmware 2.0". This page (http://www.macworld.com/search.html?cx=003198751674731024891%3Aovffo1orlum&q=unlock+iPhone&sa=search&client=idg-cse&cof=FORID%3A11) contains some more articles on this subject. However, I don't know know just how well any of this works. I don't have an iPhone myself. I would also give you a warning before trying any of these things. Apple's first update to the iPhone software disabled phones that had been unlocked using similar methods. In at least some of these cases, the phones were permanently disabled. So, if you do use one of these methods to get you iPhone to access another network, there is no guarantee that you will be able to use the next version of the iPhone software.
