Some people actually like and prefer it. They're proud to "be" whatever man made 'religion' they believe in.

the religion is catholicism, one who follows is called catholic same as: judaism=jew islam=muslim christianity=christian buddhism=buddhist hinduism=hindu it's another way to identify them as the followers
