I have had many favorite material things in my life, and have finally gotten over the fear that I will lose them or that they will be taken away. Motorcycles, guitars, fiddles, firearms, knives, cars, cameras, tools, computers, ... - all subject to loss by theft, damage, misplacement, falling off the back of the truck, etc. Treasuring objects is not a formula for success in my life, so I try to avoid it at any cost. I am fond of a great many things, and the single item I use most often is a sterling silver Parker ballpoint pen which cost me about $180 when I bought it a dozen years, or so, ago. My actual most treasured possession is life in the USA, and when that is taken away, nothing else will matter.

My grandmothers wedding band,when she passed away i was promised it for my 21st birthday(I was only 11 at the time).I literally guard it with my life and would be devastated if anything ever happened to it
