Sounds like a bit of sciatica (your bones are pressing against the sciatic nerves). See your doctor.

Sciatica perhaps? Maybe the sitting position is putting greater pressure on a pinched nerve you have.

Sounds like sciatica pain to me. I work with alot of patients that have herniated discs. When the Piriformis muscle (a butt muscle) becomes tight it pushes on your sciatica nerve, causing much pain. Most of the time all it takes is to have your Glute (butt muscles) to be stretched If you would like you can email me and I can give you full instructions on how to do this. You will need someone to help you with the stretching. chas1908@aol.com

Sciatica most likely.

I have tried to answer your question three times, but it doesn't seem to work because of some sign-in problem. Here goes one more time. Bucket seats force your hips out of alignment. It causes some people real discomfort. We have felt such pain, and it also places strain on arthritic pain. We use a masonite board to flatten the contour. You can cover it with a pad if you want a softer feel. This also makes getting in and out of the car safer and more secure by allowing both your feet to hold your weight as your transfer in or out. I also send a web address which talks about the contour problem more generally. http://www.soundfeelings.com/free/hip_pain.htm You'll need to copy and paste into your address bar. Peace and being, Lauence

Some joint pain can be as simple as dehydration but it could be sciatica, I get that on occasions and it radiates from my right gluteus maximus, through my hip and down my leg.
