Go after him, he owes it to help with HIS and your child.
-
Yes you should, and you should go after him each and every time it happens. He has to take care of his responsibilities.
-
Text messages that PROVE he is working? Stalking is illegal, you know. Get a life and a job if you need to take care of your kids.
-
Since it's court ordered don't contact the ex!!!! Contact your attorney! That's what they get paid to do! Save yourself the trouble! And stress!:)

there are lots of other issues that may be included. normally if the parent is working and there is a child support order, the money is garnished from the paycheck, however if the mother receives food stamps, the state will keep the money to offset the food stamps that the parent receives. any mother that receives food stamps will not receive cash child support, the state will keep the money to offset any food stamps that have been received. if the mother is not currently receiving food stamps, but did in the past, the will collect the money until the entire amount of food stamps (also called TANF) is collected.

First of all, you can't hold your ex in contempt, that is for a judge to decide. also, by contempt of court, they have to prove that he willingly didn't pay the money. so if the amount is more than he can afford, they will reevaluate the case, in the meantime, he can ask for a temporary stay. working in the child support system, i am pretty sure that the amount is more than he can actually afford since they use the gross amount to set child support. if he is found guilty of contempt, he can get up to 20 years in prison. Normally if a parent is working once the child support order is set, the money is garnisheed from the parents paycheck. about 2/3 of the mothers don't receive any money due to fees from the state or past TANF obligations, in other words, if you have ever received food stamps or any state aid, they will collect and keep the money until it is all paid back

Yes you owe it to your kids to have the courts enforce their orders.
-
go through your child support services if it is already court orderer then they will enforce it and if he doesnt comply with them there are consequences through them...ie license suspended and it goes on until they start paying
