Yes, I do... Although now, everyday, it appears like its becoming less and less.
-
Absolutely. We may not have the best judicial system on the planet, BUT It beats everything else that is out there in other countries. NEVER, be arrested in Mexico. they will lock you up and just forget about you.
-
Well not everyone believes in God in America, there is freedom of religion that killed that part of it. I think part of the saying is good to aspire to, but I think America is lacking a bit. But really, no country has a perfect system. Some are way worse then others tho.
-
That is the belief that this nation was founded on. And I believe this is what America should strive to be "One Nation Under God, Indivisable, With Liberty And Justice For All".
-
Undoubtedly it was meant to be. God gave us free will, but look what we've done with it. there is liberty and justice for all, some just chose not to accept it, or to go against it using the excuse of " freedom of speech " Honestly, those people don't deserve half of the great things this country gives them.
-
No, and I have to disagree that it is the belief the nation was founded on. The pledge wasn't written until the Reconstruction Era, and the "Under God" portion was added in the 1950s era of McCarthyism (the fight against 'godless communism'). Freedom of religion, not a requirement of an affirmation of any deity, was a founding principle. I believe that we are one nation. I hope we are indivisible. I'd love to see us extend liberty and justice to all. We say it, but our implementation could sure use some refining. I have a huge problem with having to affirm the existence of any Deity (and note that this is specifically masculine and singular - patriarchal monotheism) in order to pledge allegiance to my country. Really, I have freedom of religion, so can't we just keep religion out of it?
-
nope. there are many ideas of what and who God is. that should be left up to the people because when that "under God was added in the 1950's" it was meant to unite us. it's really not serving that purpose anymore. liberty and justice for all? again, we're a little off the mark of course it's a beautiful goal for us to reach, but i don't think we're there yet
-
there was a time, now it's liberty & justice for the rich
-
Yes, for the majority of us anyway.
-
I believe we are a great nation. We have lacked so many times and had many bad marks. But I still have faith in the great USA!! God Bless this great nation!
-
I think that is use to be but as the years went by people have become corrupted.
-
Bahahahahahahahaahahahaha!! hells no

I know America was once a nation under God, indivisible wiht liberty and justice for all, though nowadays, the Bible is out of schools, which shreds that first one. We are being divided between Democrats and Republicans, for that much is obvious. Ultimately, our definitions of liberty and justice and even much more are being redefined. I pray the rapture is soon, for this nation is going down like the titanic sooner than you would think. I am positive, but we think about our relationship with God before we reiterate that "God bless America" saying, for it is a package deal.

It's SUPPOSED to be...
-
That was the idea of the founding fathers. But I doubt whether they are fully found in US of today.
-
it is just a slogan. it has no meaning. under what God...the God of Democracy? indivisible. what does that mean? liberty and justice for all...hardly.
-
Not at all....I object to pledging allegiance to a flag, I object to the phrase, "With Liberty and Justice for all" when there is only Liberty and Justice for a few. The fact that so many athiests/agnostics chimed in to state political opinions and also how they object about the under God thing shows we are not, "One nation under God". Nothing about the pledge of allegiance makes sense....why even say it? Of course I said it every morning, and it seems to be wearing off....Good question.
-
Nope, not at all. We are not all 'under god', we are very very easily divided, and justice can be bought as easily as a gallon of milk. As the people in Guantanamo about the liberty part.
-
I believe in it. But I don't believe it truly is anymore. We are still one Nation, but many parts of the nation are "Godless" by choice. We are divided at every level these days.... in the streets, in the workplace, in the courts, in the political arena, in the schools, and yes, in the religious arena too. Our liberties are being stripped from us more and more every day. And as for the Justice... well, we all know that comes with a cost (in one way or another) for many.
-
I believe that it was at one time, and that we should continue in our attmepts to make it that way, but unfortunately for most, many don't want to take the responsibilites, or make the sacrifices to make it such.

I am stating to question the liberty. When the government starts running checkpoints for any and all excuse to check the citizens traveling papers.
