Completely related. They are paid exactly what they are worth by the studios.

It's an interesting question. Having dabbled in the entertainment industry, I can tell you that some people honestly believe that hard work pays off. Most celebrities I have worked with were that way. There are those we hear about I wish would go away. Now earnings vs. worth? It's all related to what the studio expects to get back on a project. Many projects have lost money. If you think a celebrity is paid too highly, don't watch his/her movies at the local moviehouse. And don't buy or rent the videocassette or DVD. That earns money, too.

Not necessarily...but it happens so most often...but there are exceptions.

It depends on your definition of "worth". I wouldn't cross the street to speak to many of the so called celebrities today. However, there are millions of "fans" that would. Would I pay Paris Hilton $100,000 to show up at a party for an hour. NO, but some people think she will bring a crowd and that the money is a good investment. Its their money to throw away.

Of course an untalented actress who gets a part simply because she looks good on the camera is worth 5 million dollars for 2 months work.
