No, rude is still rude and will always be rude. It may be more common than polite, but that doesn't make it right.

I certainly hope not. Rudeness is one thing I despise and I do not understand why people feel the need to be rude. If I do not have the same opinion of someone else I just avoid or nicely agree to disagree with that person. Can I be rude - SURE if someone gets rude with me first but I usually do not act that way unless provoked. :)

Sometimes is sure seems that way. I work at a call center and some people think they can take all of their frustrations out on us. Yes sir, it's my fault there's a snow storm that cancelled your flight simply because we booked it for you! Fortunately, most of our clients are NOT this way. Seems a lot of people aren't taught manners these days...
