it should certainly slow him down quite a bit, but depends on his age,,older dogs find it harder to break habits

I heard that it was supposed to stop this kind of behaviour. However, after we had our lab fixed as a puppy it didn't slow him up at all, in fact even now at the age of 13, he loves nothing better than to pull the cushions off the couch and hump them!

Normally neutering sorts most males out, but better done early in life than later, hopefully once he is fixed his "desires" will settle after a couple of months, but it may have already become a "habit" so you will need to help him stop if that should be the case.

it should slow him down but i have to tell you, me and my friend both have dogs she has a male i have a female, and every time she brings her dog to my house he feels the need to mark his territory and he has been fixed now for years and was done as a pup, so it all depends on the dog.
