Why is there so little humor in religion?

Because people consider it profane to laugh at the sacred. Because people are afraid to laugh at the sacred. Because if you do laugh at the sacred you are guaranteed to piss someone off. There is humour if you look for it. My girlfriend and I recently read the Book of Revelation and had a great time. To me the funniest thing in it is the recurring reference to "the bloody lamb of vengeance" which we took to mean Christ on a bad day. Bliss

i do not understand why there is not more humor because God has to have a sense of humor, by the disciples He picked. The hollier than thou people are the ones who do not like it. laughter is a great source of healing i believe
