Paper: do you crumple or tear?

I crumple it up into a ball. Now if it is something i dont want anyone else to see i will tear it up

It depends. With personal data on it I shred.

crumple. Great fun crumpling large pieces of paper and throwing them into the bin, especially when its homwork

Crumble and toss. Too bad I have bad aim.

Mostly crumple. There's something about the sound of tearing paper that bothers me - like most people feel about fingernails on a blackboard. If it's "sensitive" material, I burn it in the outdoor fireplace.

Neither. First, I sort all my paper as I go along and the sensitive paper documents get put in a paper tray. Then, once a week, I sit down and cross-cut/diamond-cut shred all the sensitive paper. Then I take the shredded paper out of the shredder, mix it all up and then take a small batch with me each day whenever I got out and dispose of it in multiple bins (like dropping the rubble through the trouser pockets, as in Escape From Alcatraz), looking left and right before I do. I'm not paranoid, you know...you just never know, you know...I mean....you just don't know who's looking or where...all those spy satellites that got Will Smith in Enemy of the State, do you think they just sit idling in orbit until something really serious pops up - no way man!!..they're checking you out all the time...yeah..I know it man. Then I go and do my online banking and I feel safe with that because....errrmmm......hey......wait a minute...I heard that.....

Neither. I save my paper to use as fire starter in our wood stove. We don't get any newspaper so we scrounge for paper.
