Can a stylus for a PDA work on a touch pad for a laptop?

    My laptop uses a heat-sensitive touchpad, which isn't sensitive to pens and pointers and stuff like that. That's probably what you have as well. Theoretically if you could find (or make) a stylus that could heat itself to around 98.6 degrees F(or perhaps conduct your body heat) then it might work.

    If you plan on making one of your own, I recommend tipping it with rubber or something similar to skin, so you won't scratch the pad.

    Yeah, anything can work on a touch pad for a laptop. Mostly I just use my finger for mine.
