Do any of you have American Homeshield as your home warranty company? How have your dealings with them gone?

I have had them in the past. I was very pleased. I paided on a monthly bases and when I had to make a claim for a broken item they sent reliable service people, and when they had to replace an item I paid the agreed deductable and they replaced the items new. I had a water heater and kitchen stove replaced. I had my bathroom piping repaired, which cost 5 times what I paid in membership and deductable. I was very pleased.

American Home Shield is a nightmare. Called three times for repairs, they denied all three. If that was all the problem I had with them I would be in good shape. Theervice people they sent to my house were deadbeats and basically cvame to collect the $55. One of them even BROKE a piece off my oven and denied doing so! This whole business of Home Warranty is basically a scam. I am certain it is 80% complaints and 20% only somewhat satisfied!
