  • Talk to your doctor. S/he will be able to figure out what is the best treatment.
  • i feel the same way. you arent the only one in this case! =[ i feel like my life is going down hill right before i get it.
  • You could have PMDD, a severe form of PMS. Just type it in google, and you can see all the symptoms. Ways to get rid of it are through birth control pills, antidepressants, or if you're lucky, simple exercise and healthy eating can help it.
  • That's why I think it is called "the curse". I tried the pill - got really sick, tried some natural remedy - nothing much changed, and tried eating better. The doctor turned nasty because I stopped taking the pill/s. I notice that the depression gets worse before some periods than others and it's usually the heavier ones where I get the most depressed. The only thing I found helpful was to try not to do anything that was likely to stressful during the few days before a period but sometimes they creep up on me because they are not all that regular.
  • It happens to a lot of people. The rise in your hormones is actually what triggers it. Your best bet would be speaking with your doctor and possibly being perscribed birth control to even out the hormone fluctuation. That's about the only treatment that I know of, but I'm sure you're doctor will have an idea.
