The electrical pathways should show up on your ECG. Its should tell you the rate, rhythm, and if there are abnormalities, it should tell you which part of the heart is acting abnormally, and why. It will all be displayed as a "P wave" The first bump, which should be upright and rounded, the next should the the QRS complex which should be nice and pointed and narrow, followed by the "T wave", which also should be nice and rounded. The absence of any of these waves or complexes indicates a problem. Also the width, size and shape of these waves and complexes also are diagnostic indicators.
