Practice jumping a lot, and make sure you're always jumping as high as you can. Jumping is a matter of strengthening muscles, so the more you do it, the better you will be.

Jumping is more than just strong legs... You do need to lift, calf, quads, and gluts... but you need to do quick explosions and heavy weight as well. People do not know that proper technique is also important. the object is getting you body to you entire body moving up .. without loosing momentum

my soccer coach told us to do calf raises, one leg at a time, beside our beds before we went to sleep. that's what he did, and he can jump pretty darn high, but his calves are as big as my head...
