the isn't intelligent life on this planet, so why look elsewhere?

I think there is life on other planets somewhere. For that life to evolve into something more intelegent than us would be much lower odds. We could be the most intellegent. But for a more intellegent life form to be able to travel between stars takes tremendous energy and time just getting here and back. However if they understood physics better than we do and are able to travel faster than light or some other method of travel, I still feel they wouldn't spend their time pussyfooting around discecting some hicks from where ever. They would have the power to do what they want.

I think there must be, for at times I think some a'bers are living on another planet :-)

There is no doubt of there being intelligent extraterrestrial life out there some where because it has already found us here on the Earth: http://www.squidoo.com/amphibious-aliens & http://www.squidoo.com/VISION-D8 . The fact that there is life our there which is more intelligent than Humans, means that Humans are not #1 on the food chain, and most Humans have a hard time dealing with that kind of information. Humans want to believe that they are the biggest and bestest at everything, and when someone else comes along and knocks them off their high horses and say we can do this or that better than you Humans can, well, they just can't handle it and go into denial over it. . There is intelligent extraterrestrial life out there, the problem is that 90% of the Human race is just too stupid, too ignorant, too arrogant, or just plain too scared to admit it, let alone believe it yet. In order for them to admit it, they would have to first admit that the Human race isn't #1 in the universe, and that seems to be the major factor resulting in non-belief, doubt, and denial. . My question is this: if they don't believe that there is intelligent extraterrestrial life out there, than why are they afraid of it?
