Was never any good in the first place, only served to degrade music into what it is now.

MTV was found on Rock and Roll not reality shows. They should have never sold out.

If anything, it was better then. Now its all just soap opra's for teens.

MTV is a contradiction of terms, ESPECIALLY these days. It at least showed MUSIC VIDEOS then... now it's cheap "reality" tv shows. "Video Killed the Radio Star" couldn't be MORE accurate.

My generation is for the MTV now and I hate it now. it sucks, the music sucks, the shows suck. God I miss pop up video.

Far as I'm concerned... THEN... I prefer videos, not a lot of SHOWS.

The first 5 years of MTV were 100% better than it is now.

Then, WAY then like the early eighties. When they played music and didn't' have stupid shows. When they had The Cutting Edge on Sunday nights and played really good concerts. When the music was still treated importantly and like it was worth something, not just hyped, what's the latest kind of thing.
