In my experience --- sometimes there's a reason I'm anxious -- like I'm trying to block off something, or I've not been eating well, or not sleeping enough and getting tired -- so I attempt to figure out if it's any of those and get to the root of it to fix it. If it's none of those, or if trying to figure it out is making me anxious in itself, I try to breathe deeply and/or meditate. Writing helps a lot as well, as do things that take your mind off of whatever you're anxious about. Exercise is good. I hope I've helped some.
