  • An inpatient program works much better in my opinion. My brother has to attend a rehab facility a few years ago. He tried an outpatient program and was clean for a few months, but he ended up relapsing. When he went the second time he did an inpatient program and it kept him clean. He got more of the attention he needed with the inpatient program and he was able to relate with others who were going through it to. I would suggest the inpatient program, if your looking for a place check out http://www.alldrugrehabs.com, they were great to deal with and helped him find a center near our home.
  • They are two different things meant for different types of addicts. A person who smokes to much Marijuana or has a couple drinks a day but is unable to stop does not need in patient whereas a heroin addict would most certainly fail at outpatient along with a chronic heavy drinker. When it comes down to it they all need the 12 steps. http://www.12step.com/12steps/step5.html
